Cultural abuse of children
Do we have a Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children? Good gracious, to see what the little ones are made to endure for the continuity of the "culture"! Ref. Source 1
Monitor homes of children at risk
One morning recently I encountered two children during a visit to a city neighbourhood. Since it was 8 a.m. On a week-day, I asked the youngsters why were they not in school. The girl, whose long, thick African hair was unkempt, said her granny had no money to give her for lunch. I asked her what class was she in. "Standard one, sir.'' My host asked her why did she not take lunch from the school feeding programme. She said she didn't like it. Ref. Source 4
