I know David and his mom are members of the Church, does anyone know if his father is a member? What a sad turn of events.

During a raid in mid-January on a massage parlor in Midvale, Utah, the father of last year's American Idol runner-up, squeaky-clean Mormon David Archuleta, was arrested by police and charged with prostitute solicitation, a Class B misdemeanor. According to Us Weekly, Jeff Archuleta, 41, who was the consummate stage dad during his son's Idol run, has pleaded no contest to the charge, paying a $582 fine following his arrest at an establishment called the Queens of Reiki on January 14th. Midvale Police Detective Sgt. John Salazar told RadarOnline.com that his department began investigating the massage parlor following a tip from a local doctor with a practice in the same building housing the massage business. After noticing some of the masseuses in flimsy outfits, he asked cops to look into it. Undercover officers were sent in, and after a five-day investigation, the place was shut down. Archuleta was the business" sole client during the raid. "He was just finishing up in suite number one," Salazar said, adding that Archuleta told officers he found the massage parlor through Craigslist. "I sent two of the officers in and the male was on his stomach on the table with a masseuse in lace underwear. At that time, an interview ensued and the male client admitted to receiving sexual gratification from the masseuse." Archuleta's lawyer, Eric Bauer, claims his client was getting legitimate massage therapy for his back at the time of the sting, and that no sexual contact had occurred.... |
How embarrassing for the family.
Of course it was just a massage for the back, I mean if anyone needs specialized therapy the first person they should call is a prostitute right?
One thing to be weak, we all are, the other is to try and make us all look like dummies.
No, the whole thing is that he went to a place called Reiki (a genuine name for therapeutic massages) but the police started receiving complaints about the place because the therapists were dressing on skimpy clothes.
When they reached the place there was only one customer: Jeff Archuleta. According to the police he ADMITTED he received sexual gratification, plead no contest and payed a fine. But according to his lawyer the police is making up the whole thing and he was there for therapeutic massages and there was no sex.
Why would the police make it up? He was charged because he ADMITTED there was sex.
Then he must be naive or we are all fools.
If you get an address from Cragslist rather than from your doctor which is customary and follow through with it then no one led you there but yourself.
Further to this once you get there and you see that your therapy is being 'done' by someone not dressed in the correct attire you still have a choice to say "no thanks" and move on.
Everyone is weak and we all have our various sins and weaknesses to deal with. This is an old news report but I just wanted to say that I'm glad that it didn't get Elder Archuleta down nor prevent him from serving a mission.
