I was expecting more from this movie but it turned out to be one of the most unintelligent movies I've seen in a long time. What do I mean by that you wonder? Well you take a guy that had just a couple of lessons flying and yet he flies through falling buildings and goes even as far as China! Then you have a guy that's just a limo driver but he uses vehicles like they're made from the Knight Rider series dodging falling rocks, falling bridges and falling roads! About the only thing that was good about the movie was the eye candy, but it ends there!

I agree with RPGPundit's take on 2012 the movie. Some of those stunts put a smile on my face from disbelief. I like the concept of surviving with the ships but getting 400,000 people in one place. I also didn't quite get the aftermath government - just imagine the European nations making up the new government on ships and Africa having a say since the rest of the world now has to occupy their land.

I watched this movie and thought for a piece of entertainment it was entertaining. Other that that I would have to say the main characters were not the smartest people on the planet. I think it was a piece of trash scientifically.

All the logic and scientific calculations aside I thought it was a great movie. I especially liked the special effects! The dude with radio station in Yellowstone National Park was a real whacked job. I also wondered why they put Africa as not getting drowned by the sea. Why didn't they just go for Africa then?

I must say that this movie has been a true disappointment. All the pre-release hype just set us up for a major let down. Agreed that the special effects have been exceptionally well placed, but the plot itself is cliched. Haven't we already seen tons of movies with the end of the world scenario in mind? It's the same old story just polished up a bit.

The scientific angle has also been badly handled. Had the science been convincing, the poor story line and bad characterization could have bee forgiven. But coupled together, they spell disaster for any movie.

So, my verdict 1.5/10

Comments: Why do they always make the Chinese look so bad in these movies? It is not right to show that Chinese treat other Chinese like this movie 2012.

I do not think they were planning to show a lot of scientific evidence toward this movie as they planned it but something had to spell out the doom of the world so they had to do something to make it a bit more believable. I doubt I will buy this movie at all when it is released on dvd.
