Comments: The Trinidad and Tobago Embassy in NYC sucks. You are calling and no one will pick up the phone. On top of that when you go there they are RUDE and they turn their nose up at you. They need to HAUL some of them out of there.

Comments: I absolutely agree. I have tried several times calling the the Trinidad Consulate in NY, at different times and no one ever answers. They are very rude and really don't know how to deal with people. Now they are saying that, if your passport is expired you can't even go to your own darn country unless it's an emergency....never heard so much bs in my life. They need to check themselves.

Comments: The T&T consulate of NYC is terrible. I called a few weeks ago to make an appointment, they did not give me an appointment until a year from now. They would only make an exception to get your new passport to you sooner, only if they deem it an unplanned emergency in their eyes. This is totally unacceptable if you ask me. It's as if they holding you hostage. It's not my fault that everytime I went to get a new passport previously they were only giving extensions. I do not think myself on anyone else should suffer because of their ineptitude.

Rather put your complaints here why not actually call the Ministry that handles overseas consulates and get them to sort it?

Comments: I completely agree with all the comments made about the T&T embassy. I applied for my new machine readable passport in January and I got a date at the end of the year. Every time I call it goes to vmail and you could never get a positive response when you call nor can you get someone to speak to you with some respect because they are rude and unhelpful. I guess they have the same kind of attitude like that of government employees in Trinidad. It's ridiculous that this is the way our embassy is being run and we are supposed to be proud Trinidadians and the people who are supposed to help us treat us like they are better than us.

Comments: Sucks and the one in DC even worse, they need to get their act together, their website says one thing, you call in and hear another.
