Film or Digital
Which do you prefer: Film or Digital? Please give reasons for your answer - both the pros and the cons.
I am no professional photographer, but I have done a fair amount in my day. I think if you are trying to have to absolute best photo without having to touch it up, then film is still the way to go. However, for the home/family photographer, I like using the digital pics. This allows me to save every picture with out paying to have them developed. In addition, I like to use Adobe Photoshop for some pictures for special ocassion and just having fun. You cannot do that with film. Digital pics give you the freedom to edit and make mistakes, and when you are finished, you can use your own picture printer to print out whole exceptable pics.
I prefer digital for all occasions. I used to do wedding photography with film cameras, and there was always the nagging doubt as to the quality of the shot. Then you had to have a developer that you trusted enough to print your pics. Since decent digital resolution (9Mpix) has been developed and write speeds to memory cards have come down to millisecs, digital prints are most definitely better for both the professional and the amateur photgrapher.
