I saw this on FNC and decided to put it here. Dave Carroll was a passenger on a United Airlines plane waiting for the ground staff to finish packing the plane so it could take off. While waiting he looked outside and noticed that the ground staff were throwing around his guitar. When he got his guitar back it was broken and United refused to pay for it, so he did the next best thing - he created a video about it:

United Airlines later said they will make right on it after Fox News contacted them about the video.

Now that is interesting. I always see luggage handlers throwing bags around. I think that the old samsonite commercials said a lot with their luggage being thrown around by a gorilla. If you want something protected make sure it is in some thing that can take some abuse. I am glad United is going to make this right.

My main thought is that I thought the cases these guitars come in are supposed to take some serious pressure? The ground crew must have really been dancing on top of it to cause $1,400 in damage.

I have no clue how they did that much damage but somehow they did. I think United should have paid from the first.
