Isle of Anglesey
Have you ever been to the Isle of Anglesey? I lived there for about six months and I loved every moment of it. Being on the Isle of Anglesey is like being part of a Medieval flavor in modern times. The land, mountains, plains are all so beautiful to behold. Any fans of the Isle of Anglesey out there?

This is the Isle of my birth. She is called the "Mother of Wales" and in the Dark Ages as the seat for the Celtic druid religion the "Grandmother of the World". She makes this claim as she was located in the centre of the known Celtic world.
In the North there is the ruins of the largest copper mine in the world in the industrializing age. Anglesey was one of the last places to fall to Roman rule, the blue skinned angels fought hard for the grace of their groves. Holyhead in the west is Britain's second port, there is a second planned Nuclear power station and we have most of Snowdonia's winter pasture. There are two Bridges over to Anglesey; Telford's bridge was the first suspension bridge ever built and Stevenson's railway bridge crosses the Menai straight over to Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysuliogogogoch!
We have one of Eddy's castles, a large oyster farm and a Halibut nursery and a haunted beach looking over to Ireland.
A fun place really!
The Island is 25 miles across, same size as London.
Most of our Natives are friendly, it has a very diverse culture. Irish, Romany, Welsh and different classes of Saeson that have settled here. There was a strong Norse invasion and a Norman church growth, usually built on Holy Pagan sites.
I love the Anglesey beaches, there are some fantastic coastlines around the island. My Husband goes kayaking off the shores there to catch fish.
I like the villages and towns, and the market at Llangefni.
You're lucky to have been born there Harkon!
Also a nice place to have lived JB.

It really sounds like a place where I would like to move but then since it seems to be a small place I wonder how they feel about outsiders, particularly non-Caucasian ones? Any takers?
It seems to be a place full of nature which is something I really love. How is the weather there like?

Ah I think you would love it there LDS! I think maybe the smaller villages may be 'cliquy', but I don't think that would be anything to do with anyone's creed or religion etc, I think it's probably more to do with the same families having lived in the villages for hundred's of years , but I think the lesser remote areas you would be fine!
