Sandra Cantu Case - LDS Perspective

Do you think the Sandra Cantu Case covered in detail: Source 6 makes you think twice about who teaches your children in Primary or are you wholly unconcerned?

I am always observant who teaches my kids in Primary, who they interact with, etc. It does not matter to me whether is a new member (male OR female), the Bishop, the Bishop's wife, the Stake President, Patriarch or a General Authority...it doesn't matter to me, I observe all of them in the SAME way because they're ALL human and they're ALL capable to do evil.

I keep an eye on my kids at all times ensuring they're not with anyone by themselves in a room or bathroom, etc. Sometimes I am just shocked to see little girls as young as 2 or 3 walking all over the chapel without any kind of supervision because it is when your kids are unsupervised when a pedophile attacks. Whether we are in Church or not, makes no difference to me.

Really I dont know. I come from a large family and I trust that most people still good I mean you cant be so paranoid and think that every teacher in primary may abuse your child come on how can you live with yourself thinking like that?

I'd like to think that this is a rare case of sin covering sin since there people who knew her past and let her in anyway. That's why in this church we have a system that works most times with interviews. Shouldn't stop you from doing your own observence though to make sure everything is alright with your children. Stupid parents are the ones that reach to church with their kids and then forget about them for three hours not even knowing who they're with or what they're doing.
