Sources: Obama Wants Healthcare Bill Quickly
Health Related
Moving forcefully on his top domestic priority, President Barack Obama told a powerful Senate chairman on Monday he wants health care legislation ready in the Finance Committee by week's end, according to numerous Democratic officials. These officials said Obama made his wishes known directly to Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., at a White House meeting attended by administration officials and senior Democratic lawmakers.

It is nice that he wants health care reform done so quickly. My only concern is what type of package are the american people going to get. What will their choices be if any? Will the government tell us what we can and can not have as means of health care? How are we going to pay for all of this?
Healthcare bills passing in the night...
When does Congress work on the weekend? When they don't want the public to see what they are doing. This Saturday night at 8pm the Senate will vote to cut off debate on a motion to proceed to the healthcare reform bill. If 60 Senators support the motion, the chamber would automatically adopt the motion to proceed to the bill and then depart. Some Senators are still on the fence. I hope that they do not pass this bill. I think this bill will harm a lot more than it will help. How many people will lose their jobs as employers decide they have to let people go in order to save enough to pay for their share of the health care for their employess.

Dems attack Lieberman
It pays to be on the fence when it comes to the healthcare bill. Pelosi, Reid and the President desperately want to pass this "control America bill" before they lose their majorities. If politicians need to be convinced, well, it's anything goes in Washington D.C. To get it passed. Senator Mary Landrieu claimed to be on the fence -- it was worth $300 million dollars to Obama to get her support. Now, Joe Lieberman is claiming not to support this bill in its current form. Passed
A 60-39 vote passed the Senate version of a health care overhaul bill and put the broadest expansion of health care insurance since the 1965 Medicare act closer than ever to enactment. The Senate and House must reconcile the differences between their two bills before President Obama approves it. Ref. USAToday
