The number of Americans who selected health insurance through the federal exchange, HealthCare.gov, quadrupled in November over the paltry statistics in October, according to new figures released Wednesday morning. Breast Cancer Survivor Goes Without Insurance Thanks to Obamacare Snafus
Not only have Obamacare caused millions of Americans to lose their health insurance, it is depriving people of insurance who need to sign up for insurance plans under the Obamacare exchanges but can't because of the massive problems with the system.
Breast cancer survivor Lynn Beckler is one such victim of that problem - and she is now going on 60 days of no insurance thanks to the Obamacare web site not being able to process her request properly. Ref. Source 1
The Obama administration is offering help to people who, because of technical problems, miss a December 24 deadline to finish signing up for Obamacare.
A posting on HealthCare.gov says: "Tell our customer service representative that you've been trying to enroll and explain why you couldn't finish by the deadline. They can tell you what you can do to finish your enrollment and still get covered for 2014."
The agency responsible for overseeing HealthCare.gov earlier issued a statement saying that people who don't start the signup process by December 24 will have to wait until February for insurance coverage. Ref. CNN
Justice Sonia Sotomayor has blocked implementation of portions of President Barack Obama's health care law that would have forced some religion-affiliated organizations to provide health insurance for employees that includes birth control. The Obama administration said Monday that 9 million Americans have health insurance they did not have before the passage of the Affordable Care Act. More than 2 million obtained private health insurance through federal and state exchanges between Oct. 1 and Dec. 28, another 1.6 million have Medicaid through the exchanges, while the rest have coverage through changes brought about the law.
