Oh indeed, reasonable tort reform is an important part of the equation here. The current legal environment makes doctors afraid to do their job, and increases their costs by a great deal.

My goodness yes, not only are their insurance premiums sky high, but they order every test possible, even ones not needed, so a lawyer can't say they didn't do enough. That is a very large chunk of the problem. They do more CYA then they do actual doctoring.

This is why we need to get lawyers and politicians out of the health care stuff. They have no clue. While we are doing this slip some legislation in there that removes politicians 100% funded health care that pays 100% of anything via the tax payers and put them on the same plans as the taxpayers and everyone else.

Yes, all elected officials should have to use our health care, or they can choose the VA or the military. I bet things would improve then.

Welp, that wasn't an unexpected outcome. Frankly, I suspect they're going to have to get some neutral party to draft something up for it to have a real chance at this point.

Yup, time to move on to other issues and maybe give this issue the study it deserves rather than rushing into something that may be worse. Personally, I hope the put politics aside, fat chance, and just fix the ACA.

They were too focused on the repeal but not the replacement part. Wanting to remove help from people who really need it just so you could fulfill a campaign promise is not a reason to repeal Obamacare. Trumpcare fails round 1.
