I notice sometimes I will get clicks in the Google Search Adsense but no money for it. Is it because they have to click on certain links only or are all the links displayed not part of Adsense?

Yes but that says "chooses NOT to click". I just checked revenue earnings and noticed that we have 19 searches, 4 clicks and no revenue from those clicks... how can that be?

Few possibilities:

1. They clicked on Public Service Ads

2. They clicked on an image that does not pay per click, but per every 1000 impressions.

3. Invalid clicks

It could be. Google has recently been implementing a lot of new systems that is changing the way both publishers and advertisers see and value ads, so this could be part of it.

I recently removed it from our sites and instead replaced it with code to search our Forum. Since our Forum has just about every topic why not bring them here rather than just send them away to a low paying site via Google Search. Plus when they come here and Search they will be exposed to Google Adsense again, so its a double win.
