LIGHTNING HITS SCOUTS, KILLS LEADER
Lightning struck a group of Boy Scouts taking shelter from a storm, killing the troop leader and leaving a 13-year-old boy brain-dead in the latest tragedy to befall the organization this week, authorities and the teen's grandfather said.

It was sad to hear about these events. I also recall recently a young boy scout getting lost in the woods after wandering away from camp. Fortunately for him, he suffered no harm.

Man, this is right after the troop got struck at the Jamboree! Its not a good week to be a scout apparently. I think that the parents of the thirteen year old boy have it the worst, their son is on a ventilator but they know he is not coming back. I applaud their generosity though, they are only keeping him on the ventilator so that his organs can be harvested for organ donation. I hope that his death will mean life to another.
