I would like to add custom backgrounds to this area and am looking for help to accomplish this.

Try using this:

Thank you so much for your response. When doing this, will the background "fill" the area completely or only be the size of the image where it is located?

It will fill in the area and repeat. If you need something different to that you have to use CSS.

Thank you so much for your help. Works perfectly although I notice there is not padding at the top. My images are flush at the top, maybe I need to adjust me background image height.

Background images are not generally affected by padding, only images / text inside the table are based on your cellspacing / cellpadding code.

If you use css properties you will be able to get anything to look the way you want it but its a bit more difficult to handle than 1.0 html.

Yeah, I'm not familiar with css at all so I would need to get someone to do that for me. Thank you for all the responses!
