What are the real reasons to scrap this program? Since the same people who are scrapping the program based on cost are wasting trillions of $$$ on other things, I hesitate to believe that it really meant to be a cost cutting measure.
However, apparently the jet has never been used in combat, despite being available for Iraq and Afghanistan. It is extremely costly. It is not proven out.
What is particularly interesting is the fact that the administration has given trillions of dollars to the banking industry, and it has all disappeared, yet continues to deny money to the manufacturing industries, and is cutting programs that will guarantee the loss of thousands of jobs. So, I come back to asking the real reason for cutting this program.
Any ideas?
