What is going on that she is afraid to speak to the Media? They're trying to get her to talk but she hardly says anything…
QUOTE For yet another day, the media were yesterday prevented from speaking with new Chaguanas Mayor, Natasha Navas.
Her first day in office was spent attending functions and meeting representatives of the community, the Express was told.
Navas attended the swearing-in ceremony of San Fernando Mayor, Kenneth Ferguson, at City Hall, Harris Promenade, San Fernando, yesterday.
The new mayor smiled and waved to the cameras, but when it was time to answer the questions, she buckled up. Asked about her first day as mayor, she replied: "I don't think this function is about me, it's about the mayor of San Fernando."
Navas's personal assistant then whispered in her ear, and she continued: "I am a people's person and I want to serve the borough to the best of my ability."
Navas's assistant then held her hand and led her through the doors.
At one point, five police officers escorted her…

What qalifications does she have to be a mayor? The papers have her face all over like if she's some kind of beauty queen, gimme a break.

Well, people are starting to call her "Barbie" according to the Guardian because of her physical appearance (Can anyone explain me that one?)She later denied being just a pretty face (Can anyone explain that one to me too?) 
When asked about it she said:
QUOTE "I have to be popular because Barbies are popular all over the world. And that's why I have decided to serve the people. I"Ll be the Barbie of Chaguanas," she said with a chuckle in her voice.

Mayor pleads for help for Navas
Navas has been seen walking the streets of Chaguanas carrying a heavy knapsack. Residents have reported seeing her walking aimlessly on the street where she lives in Balmoral Park. She appeared to be a shadow of her former self. Ref. Source 7m.
