Military Translator Jobs
Contracted translators often unfit for war duty
NAWA, Afghanistan - Josh Habib lay in a dirt field, gasping for air. Two days of hiking with Marines through southern Afghanistan's 115-degree heat had exhausted him. This was not what he signed up for. Ref. Source 6
Most translators I worked with were out of shape and not ready for long harsh days in the field. I did have one translator who was actually fond of the outdoors and quite ready to rough it for a few weeks. That was a refreshing change. Most of the time your having to pamper the translator as much as you can or they will not help you.
