I read an article that said this movie was inspired by actual animals including dolphins that are used by the military and whomever to spy.

During World War 2 the Germans used Pigeons to convey messages while the British trained peregrine falcons to attack these pigeons. I found myself laughing at the use of Pigeons in warfare, but they have been used for centuries as carriers of information.

The article also shows plans to use suicide pigeons by the British, but this never came to fruition. Wouldn't that be a great sequel to Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds"?A flock of Suicide Pigeons coming into attack some unsuspecting hitchhiker.

Rather off topic, but... I suppose the above article could be a spoof, but I wasn't sure. I found it a little bit funny when I read it for some reason.
