During World War 2 the Germans used Pigeons to convey messages while the British trained peregrine falcons to attack these pigeons. I found myself laughing at the use of Pigeons in warfare, but they have been used for centuries as carriers of information.

The article also shows plans to use suicide pigeons by the British, but this never came to fruition. Wouldn't that be a great sequel to Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds"?A flock of Suicide Pigeons coming into attack some unsuspecting hitchhiker.
