Hillary has done nothing but trade barbs and quips with the N.Koreans over the last few months. She called the trial and system of Justice in N.Korea a basic kangaroo court. She likened the N.Koreans as attention needy children and more. Each comment got a response from N.Korea.

N.Korea knows that Obama will not come to N.Korea to deal directly as it is against US policy to negotiate under these conditions. N.Korea wants someone well looked at on the world stage to emphasize their own importance. There was a short list of those that met the criteria and it was forwarded to the US through back channels. Bill was on the list. Hillary was not from what I understand. I actually dont think she would be upset with this unless it becomes commonplace. This is a special situation.

As far as Bill goes, it is said that he would only perform the humanitarian deed if it were guaranteed to be successful. Basically, the deal was implace and agreed upon before he ever left the US.

Bad News...Kim Jong Il looked much better in this meeting. Apparently, he has recouperated fairly well. This guy looked like the old Dear Leader. It might be a while before any of the sons get to take over. However, N.Korea got exactly what it wanted. Recognition from the US, easing of the heated nuke rhetoric of the last few months, photos throughout the world to show that Kim Jong Il is back and looking good and likely opened a door for discussions to get food, fuel and aid. These guys are slick!
