Treatment for spinal fractures in dispute

Two new studies cast serious doubt on a widely used treatment for painful fractures of the spine. The treatment, vertebroplasty, injects an acrylic cement into bones in the spinal column to ease the pain from cracks caused by osteoporosis, the bone-thinning disorder common in older people. Ref. If there is pain in the back due to a spinal boone crack or break and one of these causes the pain to go away that is all the person wants. Due more studies and see which one is the better treatment or devise anther treatment.
