Comments: Does being left handed hinder your ability to perform certain moves against an opponent? My instructor is right handed so some of the movements don't flow well with me.

I don't see why it should. Maybe you are concentrating too much in a stance or technique and not applying it to your own body and style. If you worry over that it will seriously affect you when you have to defend yourself for real.
