I wasn't looking for a reply. I made it public here because I don't keep a blog. Also, because others too probably have similar experiences. It was meant as a light hearted "rant."
However, it is a fact that we do congratulate people on reaching certain milestones in posting numbers. In fact, we must maintain a certain posting percentage to play RPGs, we must post or be deleted, as well. So, it isn't entirely true that numbers don't count. I do agree that quality is far more important than quantity, but I still take pride in the fact that I have posted as much as I have. I try to make sure they are all quality posts, just the same.
We have
links to show us who the top posters are for the day, and in total. So, there is some measure of status granted to how many posts you achieve.
I agree it is not biggie, but it is definately not a "non-issue."
