You're a history buff aren't you? Does the expression "Let them eat cake" mean anything to you. laugh.gif

Now see, that was uncalled for. I was going to go easy on you for the maeda path tournament and let you win. But instead, I beat the socks off you and took the crown. However, I am a greedy FP hog, and I can still be bought.......

Introduction Funbikerchick

Tena, I just realized I was answering you totally off topic in the Argentina post... so I am answering you here.

The problem is not her... it is our international family. They wanted an apostille on all our documents which meant we had to write to the MD Dept of Records then they had to mail it to us (birth / marriage) and then we mail it back to State Dept. of Records then they mail it back to us with the apostille and each time we do this there is a lot of costs in US, especially when you need four or five of the same document. Then I had to do the same in my country, then they make you pay for all kinds of 'processes' - visas, IDs, etc. They all want payment in US dollars too! When you pay TT$6 for US$1 then it becomes a nightmare. It has taken me one month of correspondence and one full week of going all over my local City to record departments, banks, wiring money and travel agencies. I have not been this stressed in a long time to say the least... and guess what, it is not over yet - there is more yet to do. One of the main problems I have also encountered is a lot of people did not know the answers to basic questions... for instance - they want you to wire money, but do not know the info necessary to actually send the wire - that alone makes me breathe fire.

I don't keep a blog, but I know many of you will read this. Please pray for my grandson. He is being tested for cystic fibrosis next week. He saw a lung specialist today. He has the typical symptoms of the disease, but since no one in the family on either side has it, chances are good he doesn't either. However, I, of course, went out on the net and read about it and now in my mind I have diagnosed him. rolleyes.gif

Anyway, he gets frequent lung infections - has pneumonia 4 or 5 times per year and is very thin - malnourishment can be a result of CF. Hopefully, it is nothing other than a problem caused by his asthma, but the testing needs to be done just the same. So, please keep us in mind. Thanks.

Oh my goodness! I hope everything turns out. You will be in my thoughts. It has to be so hard to watch a child suffer. I know I would be in tears constantly if my son had health problems like that.

Oh my goodness... I will certainly keep you all in my prayers, and call your names in for the prayer roll at the temple. I hope it turns out to not be that... CF can be a real challenge.

Funbikerchick Introduction - Page 44

A few weeks ago my motorcycle needed a new battery. Well, I went to buy the battery and ended up buying a new motorcycle. That was just the beginning. I found that the model I bought is one that is highly customized by it's owners. I didn't buy a Harley so this came as a surprise to me, but I, too, have been bitten by this customizing bug.

I bought a 2005 Suzuki Boulevard C50. It is the newly named and somewhat redesigned Volusia. I tried to upload an image of it that is posted at another forum but it wouldn't work. A thread has been set up so you can view and critique my bike if you want. To see that image (and comment if you wish)click here. If the picture comes up small just enlarge the window. (That's my truck in the background and my front yard.)

You can see some of the customization I have done. Check out the tank. I took off the Boulevard badges and added the flames myself. I also have lowered the bike two inches, added that tank bib you see on it, cut the windshield down to the size I prefer, added the luggage rack, the highway bars (twice because I didn't like the ones shown in this picture), and put a gel seat on. Not show in the picture is a driver's backrest newly added and I have pegs for the highway bars and windshield lowers both of which I will install when it stops raining.

In addition, there are several other mods I would like to do, but they will have to wait for next year.

It is a sickness I tell you, a sickness! laugh.gif
