Funbikerchick Introduction - Page 44
A few weeks ago my motorcycle needed a new battery. Well, I went to buy the battery and ended up buying a new motorcycle. That was just the beginning. I found that the
model I bought is one that is highly customized by it's owners. I didn't buy a Harley so this came as a surprise to me, but I, too, have been bitten by this customizing bug.
I bought a 2005 Suzuki Boulevard C50. It is the newly named and somewhat redesigned Volusia. I tried to upload an image of it that is posted at another forum but it wouldn't work. A thread has been set up so you can view and critique my bike if you want. To see that image (and comment if you wish)
click here. If the picture comes up small just enlarge the window. (That's my truck in the background and my front yard.)
You can see some of the customization I have done. Check out the tank. I took off the Boulevard badges and added the flames myself. I also have lowered the bike two inches, added that tank bib you see on it, cut the windshield down to the size I prefer, added the luggage rack, the highway bars (twice because I didn't like the ones shown in this picture), and put a gel seat on. Not show in the picture is a driver's backrest newly added and I have pegs for the highway bars and windshield lowers both of which I will install when it stops raining.
In addition, there are several other mods I would like to do, but they will have to wait for next year.
It is a sickness I tell you, a sickness!
