    Introduction JB

Thanks, our family is growing and it makes getting our own home of paramount importance now - this is my new goal. As for rest, well we try, the onus is more on LDS_forever as she is breast feeding, so I am trying to make it easier by helping out when I am not working, taking Felipe out, etc.

You are a good husband and father, JB. How is Felipe adjusting to being a big brother?

Hi JB, Glad all went well for Jonah's naming yesterday, it is something wonderful that you could do for your Son.
I have only been to one once at the Wythenshawe Manchester Stake House, and that was for my friends' baby around 1988! That was a lovely service too!-- Don't know whether you ever went there on your mission?

I read what you were saying about Felipe, It was quite strange really, that you echoed exactly what our two children had been like. It's really frustrating, and we came back from being away over the weekend feeling like we might as well be banging our heads on a brick wall, for all that the kids cared. It didn't matter how much we told them not to do something, they'd do it anyway, and laugh at us whilst doing it, so I have loads of sympathy for you on this one. I can really empathize with you!
I think we've just got to keep at it and hope one day it might sink in.
    Best wishes, Diane.

Jealous and more aggressive as of late (see my Blog).

Yes of course! I served in Wythenshaw and tracked it up and down - it is the biggest council estate in Europe and had quite some interesting characters there. We were stoned and my companion was hit in the face. We also saw souls come unto Christ - all great fun!

Concerning Felipe, yes, it is good to have an understanding party within this Community. Most people we meet really do not understand and put it down to us 'spoiling' him. rolleyes.gif

Cool! -- I mean that you served there, not that you were stoned! That's where I was Baptized when I used to be a member, you may know my friends who I was talking about, they would have been there at the same time you were.
I won't put all their names, but the Husband was called Denzil, so if you did know them, you would know who it was from this as it is quite an unusual name here!

when the Stake house was first built there, and Missionaries first entered on to the Wythenshawe estate, people used to come out and scrub and disinfect where the Missionaries had walked.. a real tough area to cover!-- That's what is called real Missionary work in that area.

Regarding Felipe, there are always going to be those who think they know better, or think it's down to parenting or tiredness, I know, I come across these people every day! I've come to the conclusion though, that it's not there business, it's between us, our children and God, and people can think what they like, we know the truth, that they are loved and well cared for, and I think like yourselves you have to have been through it to fully appreciate the full affects of it.

Please say Hello to LDS for me, I seem to be here at different times to everyone else at the moment due to family commitments and work!

    best wishes, Diane.

Honestly, I will recall pictures, but not names. I would have to visit my journals to know more, but because they are all digitized it will be hard. However, it shows you how small the world is really. Have you ever thought about revisiting your Membership in the Church?

Concerning Felipe, that is correct - generally people cannot handle their own children, but readily have a word for about dealing with yours.

Hi, I didn't really expect you to remember all those years back from just 1 of the chapels that you visited, and all the hundreds of people that you met, but I just wondered with it being an unusual name if it struck any chord with you.
I used to work with his wife Wendy, and it was through her that I learned about the church. They had 6 children, and it was the youngest ones' naming service that I went to.
It is a small world though, and I only live down the road from the mission office that you would have had to have gone to, although it has moved now to a different location.
My family were too set against my being a member of the church to even consider renewing my membership, although personally I didn't ever find anything that I didn't like about it, but I know that if I went back to it, I would have no family.
Strange though, that my Husband is of the opinion as myself that missionaries would be welcome to be fed if they called round!
    All the best, Diane.
