Well, we decided to homeschool him, no one will have the patience to deal with Felipe as we do and so they will likely try to hit him, especially here in this Banana Republic. LDS_forever is doing a good job with him, so I can have some peace sufficient to do my work.

Sorry to hear the school turned out to be a flop. As far as Jonah goes my second never spoke much till 4 or so. Had the words just no real need to say them his older brother made enough noise for both I guess.

Even now he will be in the same room as me when I am working on a project and I would never know other then his shadow standing over me as he watches and asked the odd question openly formed with the famous "Why".

Maybe it is the same here as Felipe does enough talking to outdo the last Republican and Democratic conventions combined.

I know it may seem that all is lost at times with a child as gifted as Felipe seems to be. My middle son who is now 16 was like him in many ways. He has ADHD and while he was around 8 - 12 I was not sure I was going to be sane anymore. Thus my favorite quote, "I was perfectly normal before I had kids". I am sure that as time goes on he will start to get better control over himself. One of the methods that worked well with us was bringing his actions to his attention and asking him to control himself. Over time he was more and more able to focus on his school and social activities. He still gets very disappointed if things do not go his way or we can not do what we had planned but he is getting along so much better. Hang in there there is hope and you and your family is in our prayers.

Thanks for your words, I'm hoping that he does improve to the point that he can manage himself. He is improving in many ways, but the process is a slow battle and dealing with that is one aspect, but then you also have to deal with all the archaic thinking natives around you too who have no comprehension of the situation making the job twice as difficult. Thanks for your prayers.

I can understand that. Sometimes society can have a big damper on getting things under control. Even cause a lot of set backs. But the hanging in there and slowly making progress makes it all worth it.

Having two other sons so far to help you and give you a break can help you maintain a lot of sanity. I know I would not worry about the not speaking as I am sure he will get his two cents in more and more as he get older.

I feel really bad about the reply in the post count rants. I did not mean to make you mad or upset. I am also sorry if you were having a hard/bad day already and I made it worse. If there is a way to delete my post I would be happy to do so.

I hope that, actually I don't know what I hope...just that you would know that I wouldn't intentionally offend anyone usually, but especially not you and the friends I have made here. I hope you will forgive me.

I found out today that one of the back molar teeth that were pulled a week ago has dry socket and I have been dealing with a lot of that pain--as you said you well know about. I don't know if that had to do with the way I wrote the post but from now on I will not post on days like that. I don't want to ever feel like this again.
