Just wanted to drop a note to say that I just read your blog and I am very sorry once again about your sister and the things she is going through. I think you mentioned before that she has done very nasty things in the past to her husband and son?, it is amazing to me to see that the choices we made in this life really affect our future and we never know what are the plans that Heavenly Father has in store for us.

I am sorry to hear about your little girl missing her daddy, that must be heartbreaking for you!. But you know what? You are such a great mom that even though you may not be able to replace her daddy, you are doing a terrific job and your daughter will thank you for that her whole life.

Yes, my sis really did some bad things in her past, particularly to her own husband and son. Once her son graduated from high school and was no longer under anyone's authority but his own, he severed all ties with his mother. He even does not contact me or my mother because he doesn't want to hear about her at all. It's very sad.

I'm very sorry to hear that your family is going through so much right now, especially your two sisters! It is very excellent that you are trying to be their for them though. Especially your sister in cali, I'm sure just your phone call makes a world of difference! I will be thinking about you, and my wife will be praying for you and your sisters.

Roz, I just read Konq's post in this thread and immediately thought "oh know, what have I missed and not been supportive about?" So, I read your blog. As far as your sister who lives nearby, I would recommend just playing along. If it is at all possible. Maybe she was just kidding, but even if she is serious, it might be easier to just let her think that way. I know this must be difficult. I can't really imagine it, but you are in my prayers too.

As far as your sister in Northern Cali, no question but to keep making those calls. When I was at my lowest, it really meant the world to me when my sister or my father would call me just to talk and let me vent if I needed as well. That is all you can do and it isn't a small thing you will be doing either. It really helps a ton to know you have your family's support. My sister really carried me through my divorce to a great extent. You are a great sister.

Thanks so much, Konquererz. I'm just doing the best I can, I can't stand to see my family suffer. Tonight, I can't sleep (again) and I've been up since midnight. Now it's 3:45 and still I'm wide awake, and it's nearing time I'd need to get up anyway. Right around 8 a.m. is when I'm sure I'll start to need a nap

Arggh, I hate having things happening that prevent sleeping. I know just how you feel in that regards. Hopfully you will be able to take a nap and get some sleep tonight. As for the 8AM, hope your boss is OK with the nap, my boss would have a fit!

Actually, it is interesting that when you are bothered about an issue that you would choose to spend your time here... I find myself doing that, as well as LDS, and there are a number of people that also do that here. With regards to your struggle I have always found fasting to be highly effective in petitioning the Lord for what is most needed, and although you may have already done that I find that doing it more than is usually required does make a difference, but do not 'kill' yourself. I wish you the best in your crisis.

Roz! I love you! I hope everything works out for you. I will definetly remember you and your sisters in my prayers. I know what its like to not sleep...this whole week I am not sleeping at all and what I do is just pray and pray and pray until I fall asleep...I'm under a lot of stress and it seems like closer is getting the time to leave, more challenges arise. I have been fasting a lot and as JB said, it is a great way to ask God for whatever thing you need. I will fast this weekend again, maybe you can do the same thing, you do not want to do it while you are at work because you will not be able to function properly. Have faith. We love you!.
