FarSeer Introduction - Page 31

Yes.. one day up, one day down... but I think overall we're on the "up" side. We have the benefit of knowing that my uncle will join many dear family members who have gone before, and that his pain will soon be over. I do worry about his family because they are *so* close knit; but they have the same comfort of knowing where he's going, and that one day they can be with him again.

We haven't heard anything for a few days, and I expect that he's hanging on until the last possible second. I'll be going to the big LDS Single Adult conference in San Diego this weekend, staying with my friend who lives there. It will be a nice break for me, and I'll be close enough that if anything happens I can come right home to help mom.

Have fun at the singles event. My bishop asked me a couple of weeks ago if I have been going to any singles events. I was like "what singles events?" He then acknowledged that our regional singles representative might not be doing a good job. I figured he should know that since he hasn't seen any announcements in our bulletin or made any announcements from the pulpit. I guess he probably just didn't give it much thought until he was speaking with me.

Thanks, this is the "big one"! They draw between 500 to 1000 singles on Memorial Day and on Labor Day, so it will be pretty fun. Even if I'm in the "older" crowd

Hey Farseer, two things....

1. In one of your posts you mentioned that you have a tendency to day dream a bit - does that mean you are in love or love is in the air?

2. I saw the tradition you dislike. I have not seen television for over a month and it does not affect me in the least save for not knowing what is going on in the world. When I do watch TV it is for the news - nothing else, but I can see how having four of them rearing makes you cringe.

. .! You are so funny, JB. Nope, no love in the air in my little world. I just "zone out" sometimes in my own little world. I think it's part of being "sandwiched" between my 7-year-old daughter and my 70-year-old parents... There are just places I'd rather be, sometimes.

About the TV situation. I wouldn't mind so much if, when someone is done watching TV or leaves the room in which they've been watching it, they would turn off the TV set that they have been watching. Instead, they leave the room -- sometimes the *house* -- and the TV goes blaring until I figure out that they've gone and shut it off myself.

Ah, well. I prayed to have my folks here, and that prayer was answered. If I also have to live with their infernal TV sets, so be it. It's a small sacrifice for that great blessing.

Just read your blog. Sounds like you have a hectic time coming up to say the least. I also sense a bit of worry in your words too. I'm sure everything will turn out just fine. You will be in my thoughts, these types of occassions can be a blast, but also lead to allot of stress.
