Just read your blog. I am sorry to hear about your Uncle. One of my uncles died about two weeks ago. Seems we have reached that stage in life where we will see this more and more. I hope your mom is feeling better now as a little time has passed, but it must be difficult for her. I know it would be for me.

How is your hand? Has it healed up for you? Let this be a lesson to you. Never use a knife to open something when your teeth will do!

Hehehe, and thank you for asking... My hand is doing much better these days, nearly healed except for the very top layer of skin. I'll have a scar, which will join the several other scars from kitchen incidents of the past

Sorry to hear of your uncle's passing as well. Yes, it is the time of our lives to be experiencing these things. "To every thing there is a season..."

I only just got caught up on your Blog. I believe I already bid my sympathies for your lost, but was unaware of your hand, nasty, it reminds me of my wife since she is always cutting herself in the kitchen. I've been very ill the past couple of days with a kidney infection. I thought it was just a little thing, and hoped it would pass, but no luck. It's literally difficult to sit down, so I have been off the computer and even out of work today. Just wanted to check in and see what was happening before I go back to bed...

FarSeer, sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. I hope you get better soon. I am going to assume you are taking some antibiotics for the kidney infection. Hopefully, they will kick in quickly and you will be yourself before you know it.

Oh dear, hope you recover soon, that can smart the sides for sure. You are suppose to drink plenty of liquids to flush the kidney right? The only thing with doing that is you end up visiting the rest room quite often.
