Roz, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your sister. I am sorry because I know how much you and your family will miss her. I know, as do you, that she is in a much better place now. She is no longer suffering the physical pain she had to endure for so long in this part of her life's journey. Yet, I am sure that does little to ease the pain you must feel at her loss.

You and your family will be in my prayers.

Introduction FarSeer

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. It's been much harder than I anticipated, partly because I have to also watch my mom and dad grieve, and help my 8-year-old daughter understand. I never expected to be "sandwich girl" -- smack in the middle of all of this, and then having to really take charge of all the details. Interesting the things in life that "stretch" us as individuals and help us find out how strong we really are when we have to be.

We will be gone for a few days, starting Wednesday, I think. Until then, I'll pop in periodically.

Thank you, my friends.

If I could right now, I would give you a BIG hug and tell you: "I love you Roz, hang in there!". I already admire you a lot but after all the things you went through with your sister and all the things you still going through, my respect, admiration and love for you have grown tremendously. You are a great woman. Love you.

Very sorry to hear about your sister. I am sure she is much happier now, I have had to watch several people suffer before dying, its very hard to watch and doesn't make it easier in my opinion to deal with it. My hopes and prayers are with you and yours.

Introduction FarSeer

I was sorry to hear about your sister.

My father-in-law died while visiting us about 15 years ago. I had the honor of helping to dress the body. It was a very humbling and wonderful experience. I hope that you have a good experience with your sister. Keep in mind that her spirit will probably be in attendance with you, and that she most likely does not want you to mourn excessively.

FarSeer Introduction

My mother related that to me yesterday, Nighthawk, that she had heard at her father's funeral 40 years ago that the spirit remains near the body until it is laid to rest. I'd not heard that before, yet it makes sense when I think of other incidences with loved ones passing. I feel as if my "major" mourning is done, and I pray we'll be tranquil as we dress her Thursday.

Konquererz, my friend, watching the suffering doesn't make the death any easier, no. But it was important to us, and particularly my mother, that Ju-Ju not be alone at her death. That eases my mother's heart, and I think will help her mourning to be easier. And your prayers for me and my family are greatly appreciated.

FarSeer, it is good to see that you have been having a great family / relative experience. Maybe your sister's passing was a needed way to bring all of you together, and hopefully it will not end there. It was also good to see you could describe the day and feelings, it shows that you are still taking time to smell the roses and not becoming overwhelmed with all that has happened.

Offtopic but,
How cool, it is good to see that you utilized the Cozyville Smiley Shop already!

It was a great experience, JB, even though it was so tragic in so many ways. I think I really needed to do what I ended up having to do, in order to truly finalize my grieving. I feel as if I've done everything I could possibly do, it turned out well for my family, and I can close the book and move on with my life -- my life as a different person.

I would like everyone to know how much I appreciate your support and prayers during these past weeks. Thank you so much for caring about us smile.gif It means a lot to me.

Offtopic but,
Well, I had to try it out! Unfortunately, it's not displaying correctly in my posts. I can see yours, but mine shows as a broken link.
