Well, I'm not really doing it for the FP, of course wink.gif Repay me? You work really hard to keep this place going 24/7, and make it an enjoyable, pleasant place to be. The least I can do is donate to the cause!

And you are welcome.

Introduction FarSeer

I just finished reading your blog tonight, I believe most of us can say that we have been through something similar with a boss at some point or another. I do wish the best for you and I hope everything works out just as you want it to. From most of my experience stress leads managers to act stupid at a lot of the wrong times. I have personally worked for many donkeys and understand your frustration completely.

Also I know you said that during tax season since he is stressed it is not a good time to attempt and speak with him about it however do not let it boil inside of you past the point to stress you out. It is not worth waiting until April to find out if you cannot relax between now and then. Sometimes even the bad times to talk can be the best times to talk. *Just a suggestion from personal experience.

FarSeer Introduction

Roz, I am so sorry to hear what you are going through at work. It kind of concerned me the comment your boss made about "making changes", why he would take you to the conference room to tell you that? Did you have the feeling he is thinking in firing you? As Bwren said, you better find out now. You cannot live with that stress until April, it is too much and if he does in fact plans to get rid of you then you need to know now. Of course, I do not know the guy so I have no clue what he plans to do but a guy that tells a hard worker employer like you something like that BEFORE the funeral of her sister, then the guy is not only a jerk but capable of anything.

FarSeer Introduction - Page 44

Well, we did manage to have a couple of minutes together Thursday, after the latest fiasco error with one of the women who works with me... While I was gone to my sister's funeral, she prepared payroll for a new client, but didn't follow through with setting them up on any kind of list or getting the end of year tax returns done. So now their W2's are late. She didn't even make a folder for them, or write anything down, and I had no idea she had done any of it. When he asked why no W2's, I told him we never did any payroll for those clients. Then he showed me the copies she made and put in their corporation folder! Eeek! Now I look like an idiot.

So we had a little chat. He wants to get rid of both my "girls" in the department. He says, "Your staff is making you look bad." And frankly, he's right. They've both helped me a lot, but they do both make a lot of mistakes that I have to answer for (and correct). So, here we go again. After tax season, I'll be on my own again in that department, and we all know how long it took him to hire anyone last time! What a nightmare...

Everything is always a crisis. I'm considering a change of employment. My life hasn't been my own for quite some time, now, and I'm getting tired of living on the edge.

Wow, I hope things get better, they must get better! You should tell him how fast he plans to get new people to work with you, otherwise you will be under such stress and it is not fair. He knows the quality of jobs you do therefore he should be more considerate and try to hire some people right away.
