It's been "in the making" for a while now, I've been mulling it over for months. My parents and I have come to realize that our living arrangement is not really working out, and although we've enjoyed each other's company for the most part, it's time to move on.
Normally, I get very excited to move, but this one is a little bittersweet, and I'm not really looking forward to it. I feel very "established" here, and where I used to feel excited about the newness, now I'm not really looking forward to not knowing all the back roads, you know?
Then today, we got a notice from the landlord they are raising our rent *again* and *another* $75 like last year. That's $150 bucks a month since we moved in! So it's time to move, anyway, because they are pricing us out of the house. I mean, I didn't get a $75 a month pay increase this year *or* last year, and my folks are on fixed income - how do they expect us to pay that? I think we'd have to move even if we hadn't been planning it.
