"Little Julie"? She's nearly as tall as I am! Her birthday is next week, and we're still uncertain how to celebrate. Since her brother's is also next week, I think we will try to plan something to celebrate together. Julie has started "middle" school, which is 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. (Some of those 8th graders are pretty scary.) She's still in band playing flute, so that's good. The band kids tend to be a more "gentle" group, for some reason, and they also tend to excel in their schoolwork.
We're busy as usual. This weekend, our stake is being reorganized, and one of the apostles is coming to our city, Dallin Oaks! I am not sure if my stake calling with the singles will continue or not, but I'm ready to be released. So much going on all the time, and I'm just tired of beating my head against the wall trying to get support for the program. Maybe the new stake presidency will be more inclined to help us out.
I've also started a tax preparation class that goes until after Thanksgiving - Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 - 9 p.m. in a neighboring town 25 miles from here. Boss "suggested" that I take it... Work is really busy because two gals went out on maternity leave, another on medical leave, and I have to fill in for all three. Both the new moms have decided not to return.... so now I'll have to hire and train two new people before tax season starts.
I've also committed to a workout group at 5 a.m. at least 5 or 6 days a week... then there's the new puppy, who is adorable and about as dumb as a fencepost. Having a hard time getting her "house broken" and that makes for a lot of frustration.
My parents help us out *a lot* and for that we thank God every day! If it weren't for them, I couldn't do half of what I have on my plate.
What's happening with you? How are you holding up with three boys ruling the house?
Love,
Roz
