Klar - I think my dad is suffering more from dementia or Alzheimer's rather than any kind of drug or cult issue. He changed so drastically, and there was no evidence of illicit substances or undue influence. He claims it was a voice in his head that told him he would "burn in hell" if he didn't go to church.

LDS_Forever - I'm looking forward to it! We leave in the morning for 5 days. My car is so stuffed with gear and extra blankets/pillows/etc.! It's a 2 hour drive, so we will hit the road at 6 a.m. To be there by 8. My mom is staying here to take care of the dog. She was a little bummed that we cut off the TV service, but we showed her how to use the Netflix "instant" movies and how to get some of her TV shows online. So I told her if she can't find something to entertain herself, there's something wrong!

JB - I never answered your question from above -- Yes, she's taller than I am now by about 1/2 inch (and loving that she looks down on me). A tall, willowy blonde. I need to upload some pictures of her modeling at a church fashion show (they did modest prom dresses). She looks stunning! And she's still just 12 years old, until September.

Definitely some trouble ahead. Which is why I'm trying to establish a good relationship with her now. The last thing I need is for us not to communicate when there are boys involved. But I have to be realistic and plan for some problems, I guess.

Wow, she is so tall and looks like a teenager! (15-16!). She is gorgeous and yes, you WILL have boyfriends begging for a date! Make sure to have all the weapons ready and take some kung fu classes.

I think keeping a open mind and a open line of communication with her will be a key. IF she feels that she can come to you with any question and your going to give her a straight answer then you should not have any issues. I think you will need to have this open communication as she gets older. Good luck in that.

So, you all remember that business I was going to buy last year? And after a couple of months of working on it and negotiating, and all the planning I did to make it happen and get ready to change my life, I was so happy! And then the owner decided she didn't want to sell?

She came to me last week and says now she wants to sell again, so she can have more time with her family. And that I'm the only one she wants to sell to.

What? I just got over all that, threw out the paperwork, deleted all the computer files. Done with it. And now she's coming back to me? Are you kidding me? I told her, look, I can't even think about that right now.

I've just been literally *sick* for days over this, couldn't sleep last night and missed work today. I'm so upset and I can't even define what I'm feeling - anger? sadness? It's just turmoil that I didn't need to deal with.
