I read your blog post about wanting to make changes in your life.

I suggest that you read Psycho-Cybernetics, if you can find a copy of it. Also, consider one of JB's favorite books, As A Man Thinketh. Finally, get a copy of Think and Grow Rich. It is available free on the internet (and maybe from me, I'll have to look around).

Psycho-Cybernetics tells how to change your beliefs about yourself, change your thought habits, your internal goals, even your success mechanisms. It is not all about getting wealthy, but in learning how your success mechanisms work, and how to control them.

Think and Grow Rich, while focused on material wealth, also has tremendous information and exercises for developing an active, working faith - the kind that moves mountains.

Thanks for the information Nighthawk, I would surely look after these books. Any thoughts concerning my first part of the blog about dealing with that type of person? I really need as much insight as I can get on that point. Thanks again

I don't really have any way of dealing with that situation. Since my son was driven away from here, there are a few people who almost never talk to us anymore, but that doesn't really bother me much (but it sure bothers Mrs. NightHawk!)

What we do see a lot of is people who only call when they need something from us. Otherwise, we can hardly get a "good morning" from them. That is frustrating.

I am introverted enough that things like that don't bother me much. I just ignore them all.

LDS_forever, I just read your blog, and am sorry you have to deal with such people. The first thing you have to realize is that they have the problem and not you. They are seeking ammunition from you to use against you, which is why they hang around you so much. If you say something to them, realize that it can and will be used against you. If you tell them not to come around you, then they will use this also. I don't know how you come about to interacting with them, but if you have to, then you must be very careful in what you say to them. That is about the best advise I can offer to you. Hopefully the Lord can help you deal with this, because I know it is not easy.

Malexander, you're a wise man. This is exactly what JB also said (looking for "ammunition") and someone else mentioned to me the same thing. I will make sure this does not happen. Thanks for the advice.
