US-UK rift over Lockerbie release:
The Scottish minister who released the Lockerbie bomber has refused to appear before a US senate committee to explain his decision, deepening a transatlantic rift between the US and Britain over the case. Ref. Source 6
Just the fact that this guy was released is enough to get me a bit upset. To think that he served 11 days in prison per person he killed by the destruction of the Pam-Am flight is just sickening. I watched as he was leaving the plane in Libya to a heros welcome. Now we find out that BP may have had something to do with his release. Makes me want to never buy a single item from anything that has BPs name on it. He should have perished in prison.
