Exercise Too Often
Is it possible to exercise too often or too much?
If your exercising too much you can actually hurt yourself. Exercising in some way a hour a day is good for you. Over doing it can cause stress fractures or a increased risk of other injuries. Many will do a strong work out three times a day followed by more endurance training for 30 minutes to half a hour seven days a week. I think this is a good way to keep in shape without over doing it.
Sometimes people get sore muscles and torn ligaments because of exercising to often. Recently one of my co-workers was doing bench squats regularly and one day she just strained her back and could not come to work for two weeks. S maybe people should consult a physician before they engage in any sort of physical activity
When you are a teenager your muscles can recuperate within 24-36 hours but as adults, especially older adults passed the age of 35 your muscles may need as much as 3-4 days to heal. When I use to heavy lift my muscles would need up to a week to fully recover. Most do not understand that recovery comes when you rest and sleep, so if you are not resting your muscles are continually being ripped literally.
