Torta ahogada or drowned sandwich
The torta ahogada, or "drowned sandwich," is a regional specialty of Guadalajara, Mexico. A crunchy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside sour roll is stuffed with pierna (pork). The whole thing is then dipped in a chile de arbol-based salsa and served with onions and a lime wedge. It's been known to cure colds and soothe hangovers, and there's only one place in San Diego to get it: El Gallito in Chula Vista. Ref. Source 1
