Woman Sues Doctor Who Failed Performing Abortion

First of all, let me start by saying I believe this child was meant to be born and had angels on her side. A failed abortion and then another doctor could not detect the pregnancy even though she was 5 months pregnant?

I feel very sad knowing that this kid lives with the same person who wanted to get rid of her.

QUOTE
A woman who had an abortion but still gave birth has filed a lawsuit against two doctors and a family planning organization seeking the costs of raising her child.

The complaint was filed by Jennifer Raper, 45, last week in Suffolk Superior Court and still must be screened by a special panel before it can proceed to trial.

Raper claimed in the suit that she found out she was pregnant in March 2004 and decided to have an abortion for financial reasons, The Boston Globe reported in its Wednesday editions.

Dr. Allison Bryant, a physician working for Planned Parenthood at the time, performed the procedure on April 9, 2004, but it "was not done properly, causing the plaintiff to remain pregnant," according to the complaint.

Raper then went to see Dr. Benjamin Eleonu at Boston Medical Center in July 2004, and he failed to detect the pregnancy even though she was 20 weeks pregnant at the time, the lawsuit alleges...

Why didn't she give the child up for adoption, once she discovered she was still pregnant? She obviously didn't want the child from the beginning, so why did she keep the child after the birth? Simple solution, if you ask me, and probably would be a lot better for the child's welfare in the long run.

The child should sue this parent for being inept at best. The pain and mental anguish should serve as some good punitive damages. Plus, if the mother wins the lawsuit and I were the child, I would charge "mommy dearest" the same amount of money to attend my wedding.

Unless this child is strong, and by its desire to be born could be, there is no way that there wont be some psychological damage from knowing that your mother didn't want you. It doesn't matter how this lady spins it...there is no way you can make it sound acceptable to the unwanted.

I do hope that there is some missing information in this case that will shed a better light on the mother. Perhaps the child was harmed by the botched abortion, but if not...all the above stand!

Abortion Performing Failed Doctor Sues Woman

Where is she finding these doctors? One can't perform an abortion correctly and the other can't find a baby in the lady's stomach? The lady should have known she was still pregnant or that a dead baby was inside of her because otherwise the body would have come out of her. The lady is lucky to be alive and it's crazy that the baby lived also.
