I am concerned as well. Why Manning wants to change the power of the existent Teaching Commission and create "special agencies" in every Ministry? Sounds like such political agenda!

The Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Association says it is deeply "concerned" about the Government's proposal to remove the powers of "hiring and firing" from the Teachers Service Commission, saying this will only open the door for political interference. TTUTA president Rouston Job yesterday noted that the commission has always been an independent body, free of political interference.
