Wow, I just read the chilling account of the woman Garrido kidnapped and raped for 8 hours. She was in Larry King's Live. She said:

"The only thing I can think of worse than what happened to me, is it happening to my child," she said. "I can't imagine what Jaycee is going through. He had me for 8 hours. He had her for 18 years. "I was an adult, with instincts that helped me deal with the situation. She was a child. This is going to be with her for the rest of her life. I can only wish her the best." |

Wow, this story is getting more disturbing as it goes. Not only the two daughters of Jaycee have to deal with the ugly truth that the person they called "daddy" is in fact a registered sex offender who is now in prison, found out some days ago that Jaycee was in fact kidnapped but now they found out she is actually their mother and NOT their "big sister" as they thought during this whole time. Can Jaycee and these two girls ever recover?

I find it horrendous. I also wonder how his wife could be involved. They are saying now, it was her who pulled in the young girl into the car while he was driving. She would have known what was going on. They were married in prison. So she knew of his 'deviants'. I cannot understand how a woman could be ok with this. As the first reply to this thread said, they both deserve the death penality, for sure!

A new picture of Jaycee has been released in People's magazine. She looks almost the same (expect for her hair color) but the same smile and all:

I saw the picture on the news today. Diane Sawyer interviewed her mother this morning and naturally, she asked why now, why did she choose to reveal herself to the public. The mother replied that she wanted the world to know that she was okay. She is happy to be back home and is thankful for the outpouring of love and support she has received. According to her mother, she is bonding very well and quickly with her sister and the two kids, Angel and Starlett are very bright kids who are curious about everything. I also understand that Jaycee even home schooled her two kids. I really have to admire the courage of this young lady and I hope she could find closure and move on with a normal life that was wrongfully taken away from her for 18 years.
But I have a question. Do you think that Jaycee was pressured to go public with this photograph?
