I believe a lot of mistakes were made in this case. I do not know what would have happened if she was found earlier or not. We can always look back and say we should have done this or that and she would be saved earlier. I just hope that they learn from the mistakes of the past to better help others in the future. This is why you look back at things. To learn and grow to make the system work better.

Only 20 million settlement? She should be getting at least double of that because her and her kids will have emotional scars for the rest of their lives.

The $20 million was calculated with estimates on earnings, housing requirements, schooling and for counselling for her and her children. The money will be invested properly to ensure that it continues to produce earnings throughout her life. Even at a poor 1% return on investment, that is still $200k per year.

No sum of money can make up truly for what she lost, but she has to choice to work or not to work with this settlement. I think it is fair for a very unfair situation.

Vincenzo I still think she got too little however I think after all the things she went through she is just grateful for anything that can help her and her kids. So sad.
