Which Religions Is Mormon Compatible?

Look at the poll, which Religion do you think is the most 'compatible' with Mormonism or in other words - which religion do you think has close familiarities to Mormonism? Do note, I did not say "exactly" like Mormonism, just the MOST compatible.

That's a difficult decision to make. I think the Adventists have some things that are very similar. I think it is awesome that they are very health concious too and stay away from meat.

I think Methodists are quite similar in some things to our church.

I chose Taoism, because of their emphasis of peaceful conduct, and greater simplicity. I also respect Taoism as a whole. I have even said that if I wasn't LDS I would either go into Taoism or Hinduism.

If you look at it from an outside perspective, we also believe in multiple gods. We only worship ours, but we hope to become Gods too. So eventually, and I'm sure there already are, multiple Gods. So really I don't think it would be a bit much.

I actually choose Islam. If you take out all the media spin and crazy extremists, the doctrine of Islam is family based and loving to all. there was even an article a few years ago in the Ensign that talk about LDS being a bridge between "mainstream' Christianity and Islam.

Oh come on Ronan. There is one G-d (with capital G) and even though we may become gods one day he will be always the one and true G-d we worship you know what am I syaing?. In the case of Hindus they worship to animal-like gods as well as believe in multiple reincarnations. If there is one religion absolutely different from our church is theirs.
