Recipe of Friendship!



Fold two hands together
And express a dash of sorrow
Marinate it overnight
And work on it tomorrow


Chop one grudge in tiny pieces
Add several cups of love
Dredge with a large sized smile
Mix with the ingredients above



Dissolve the hate within you
By doing a good deed
Cut in and help your friend
If he should be in need


Stir in laughter, love, and kindness
From the heart it has to come
Toss with genuine forgiveness
And give your neighbor some
The amount of people served
Will depend on you
It can serve the whole wide world
If you really want it to.........

                      A Very Special Friend

Sometimes you find a very special friend,
Someone who changes your life just by being part of it!

Someone who makes you laugh when you need to laugh,
Someone who makes you believe that there really is good in the world.
Someone who convinces you that life is filled with doors
Just waiting for you to open them!

When you're feeling down,
And the world seems like a dark and empty place,
Suddenly seem bright and full!

Your special friend gets you through
The hard times and the sad times,
Your special friend holds your hand
And tells you everything is going to be all right.

And if you find such a friend,
You have a special friend for life,
And life is special!

Sometimes I am amazed by who or 'what' people consider friends.

Here is an example... lets say John has 'friends' that teach him how to steal. John does it and gets into big trouble. John still feels obligated to associate with his 'friends' anyway. John feels these people care about him.

Here is another subtle example... Lisa has a friend called Joan with whom she confided in. Joan told some of Lisa's secrets to another friend. Lisa still associates with Joan even if she runs the risk of having her 'privacy' broadcasted.

Here is my idea of friend...

If I were in a war, and my 'friend' were in the front line with me... I would know he/she were my friend because he/she would do the utmost to protect me as I him/her. We could expect to face the enemy together and he/she would not run, nor leave me behind. This is a friend.

Think if you were on the front line... what would your 'friend' do?
