Phil Spector, one of the most famous music producers of all time, the man who guided groups from the Crystals to the Beatles, is on trial in Los Angeles for murder. Tonight we get a unique look at Spector's psyche through the words of Spector himself. British journalist Mick Brown conducted the last interview with the notoriously reclusive Spector before actress Lana Clarkson was shot to death in Spector's front hall. Mick Brown and I met up at Spector's California mansion to discuss the tapes, the legend and the trial.

It is a hung jury right now. The jury is voting on a 2nd degree murder charge and are not having any luck getting a verdict. However, I have read where the judge is thinking about giving them the option to vote on a manslaughter charge instead. I have a feeling that that may actually get a decision in the trial and not a good one for Spector.
