These leaky homes are caused by a low standard of quality by the builders of the homes. The owners of the houses are forced to live in conditions that include dampness and mold (which is bad for their health). Insurance is not able to cover the damage done as the building was not done to a high quality and the builders refuse to pay up for their mistakes. There are so many of these leaky homes that even the government can only have a limited role in financial help.
