Madamex, The Bacchanalist

MadameX, The Bacchanalist

I wanted to start a blog for a long time, particularly about my views on the things going on here in Trinidad and Tobago. My views may be perceived as blunt and controversial for some individuals who probably live in denial so if you are over-sensitive and thin-skinned, then my blog is definitely not the place for you.

I don't sugar-coat anything I say, and I don't keep anything back. So if the truth for you is too hard to be taken, too bad. You are free to leave, you do not live by my opinions and I don't live by yours.

I have traveled and lived in other countries around the world and at the present I am living in Trinidad, a little island in the Caribbean Sea near Venezuela. Nothing to be too impressed about, this is definitely not Paradise as a lot of Trinidadians try to portrait, but I will talk about all those things on this blog.

One of the things I feel more passionate about is to observe people. I like to study them, I like to observe how they move, talk, behave, how they react to certain situations, how they lie through their teeth and how little respect sometimes they have for themselves and others. All these things show their true colors.

But don't let me start with my rants. I am MadameX and I am your host of "The Bacchanalist". Stay tuned because real Bacchanal is just about to start...

Where is Leah Lammy?

Name: MadameX

Comments: When I read the news about Leah Lammy, the 8 years old girl who was kidnapped almost a month ago, I thought because of her age, the police would conduct a massive search to find this girl within minutes of her disappearance .It was absolutely disappointing and unacceptable that the police conducted a search but DAYS AFTER the girl went missing. Why is it that we have such incompetent police force? If this little girl was the daughter of one of our Ministers, do you think they will wait for days to search for her? Shame to the Police Commissioner who almost a month after is conducting random searches to find the girl in order to keep some sort of image that something is being done about it!

The truth is they have no clue where she is. The chances she may be found alive are almost non-existent taking into consideration that when kids in general are kidnapped, unfortunately statistic shows they're killed within the hour. Nothing would make me happier than this girl being found alive and safe.

Many times as I walk the streets in Trinidad, I am surprised at the amount of very young kids traveling or walking to school with no adult supervision....almost waiting for the unthinkable to take place....

Whether it was only "that" day that Leah and many others traveled alone, which I personally do not think is entirely true, a young child should not be traveling or going anywhere by themselves whether we're living in a safe or unsafe country. As parents we need to be responsible and don't open that small window of opportunity for a sicko, beast and in most times, pedophile to take away our children....

Wake up Trinidad and Tobago, wake up laid back Trinis! We are fighting a war here. Are you prepared with a weapon in your hand or with a mango?
