As an observer, not a judge I believe that human society today, mirrors the conditions and attitudes
the Scriptures describe as marking the last days.

Comments: People have been preaching for centuries about that special time coming right around the corner and then another year passes and another year again. I wouldn't be surprised that after 2012 when its 2085 and some dope will come out saying the world will end in 2100 and everything will be just fine. The truth is no one knows if it will happen and when it will happen. For some reason people just like to stir up fears in others.

DP, hope you considered the scriptures posted earlier. The physical world will not end just the wickedness in it. (Bible- Psalms 104:5; Psalms 37:9-11, 28, 29)
Not stirring up fear, but hope.

It dose however take effort to avail ourselves of that hope. (Bible- John 17:3)

I think when everyone in the world follows the golden rule then a true golden age will come. I don't see that happening for a long, long time, but hey we can try.

Golden Rule: Jesus says in the Gospel of Matthew,

If everyone followed only this one law it is my thought that we would no longer have any serious problems left to deal with. Save for natural disasters and things of that sort.

I think the majority of people are good hearted and want that to be their reality. However the reality is it isn't that simple. There is always some grinch who has to mess everything up one way or the other.

Like was stated previously everyone is a sinner, none of us are perfect. If Jesus came down and wiped out all the non-believers it is my opinion that people would still appear within that flock who would do evil. There always seems to be a pocket of people who fill this role. Granted you would have your golden age, but I quess thats why its called an age. It belongs only to a certain place in time.

I would rather skip all that fire and brimstone, not a big fan of it.

Sickness and death will be done away with! Many suffer their whole lives with debilitating illness and constant pain. Can you imagine life without Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Cancer, or Heart disease, just to mention a few? (Isaiah 35:5-6; Revelation 21:3-4)
