I'm definatly teetering between level 4 and 5. I love video games, movies and a good novel but I always put myself in the role and consider what I would have done differently. I also fancy myself a bit of a writer and I must say that I think one must be at least a level four to be able to write worth anything.
A word of advice, avoid joining an rpg with anyone below level 4 or who isn't aspiring to be a level 4. My last gaming group consisted mostly of idiots and suck-ups (including the DM). All they wanted to do was kill and they had no interest in character development. It was a lesser form Hell.

Considering that:
* I've been participating in e-mail RPGs for almost the past 10 years
* I created and GMed a highly successful game that ran for 3 years
* I was just appointed as GM of another game, which has become incredibly successful since I joined
I would probably have to be ranked as Level Four.
