Young drinkers clog hospitals

Emergency department (ED) doctors are calling for the alcohol-purchase age to be raised as hospitals become increasingly clogged with young drunks. Ref. Source 6

Limit Age Drunks Young Zealand New

The fact is that youths under the legal age of 18 are still able to get alcohol via various means. Raising the drinking age to 21 for example would not make it much harder for them to get their hands on alcohol but in turn lead to more illegal underage drinking.

I believe there needs to be more education at the school level teaching the youth the negative affects alcohol can have on their bodies and ultimately their lifestyle.
